The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Central Kalimantan (Kanwil Kemenkumham Kalteng) held a coordination meeting to align five Draft Local Legal Products of Gunung Mas Regency. The agenda, which took place in the Kahayan Hall, Palangka Raya on Wednesday (29/7/2026), aimed to finalize the legal concepts so that the resulting regulations are effective and in line with national rules.

One of the main focuses of the harmonization is the Draft Regent's Regulation (Raperbup) on the Waste Management Master Plan. This regulation is designed as a long-term strategic guide to create environmentally friendly, planned, and sustainable waste management in the Gunung Mas Regency area.

In addition to waste management issues, the meeting also discussed four other important draft regulations. These regulations include staffing guidelines for the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) of Kuala Kurun Regional Hospital, a Computer Assisted Test (CAT)-based official exam system for promotions, and the BLUD governance pattern for Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) and Tumbang Talaken Class D Pratama Hospital.

The Head of the Central Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Hajrianor, explained that this alignment process is crucial to ensure that every article has a strong legal foundation and does not conflict with higher laws. He hopes that the waste regulation being formulated can serve as the foundation for a modern and integrated waste management system at the regional level.

The Gunung Mas Regency Government welcomed the assistance provided by the regulation drafting team from the Central Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. This synergy is expected to accelerate the enactment of regulations that are responsive, accountable, and capable of improving the quality of public services for the wider community.
