The implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards has now transformed into a crucial element in the business world. At the peak of The 5th Indonesia DEI & ESG Awards (IDEAS) 2026 held at the Ambhara Hotel, Jakarta, on Thursday (9/7/2025), practitioners emphasized that these standards have become the primary determinant of an organization's reputation.

Founder and CEO of NoLimit Indonesia, Aqsath Rasyid Naradhipa, highlighted shifts in consumer behavior, especially among Generation Z. According to him, young people today tend to strictly screen institutions based on the company's concern for environmental and social issues. This directly impacts the level of public and investor trust in the sustainability of the company's business.

Although many companies have run these programs, Aqsath warned that the real challenge lies in proving real impact. He emphasized that program effectiveness cannot be judged solely by the quantity of activities, but must be through measurable impact assessment, proper stakeholder mapping, and an early warning system to monitor dynamic shifts in public perception.

Aqsath stressed that the IDEAS 2026 event is an important momentum for companies to prove the efficacy of the programs they run. He urged industry players to stop being oriented towards mere ceremonies and start focusing on substantial changes generated for society as the main foundation for building sustainable trust.
