Efforts to accelerate national food self-sufficiency are now increasingly focused on adopting integrated agricultural technology. This strategic step emerged during the XVII Main Farmers and Fishermen Contact National Week (PENAS KTNA) held in Limboto, Gorontalo, as a platform to introduce modern agricultural solutions to farmers across the country.
On this occasion, Syngenta Indonesia actively participated by showcasing a series of superior seed innovations, including the NK Ningrat hybrid rice variety and the NK Sakti biotechnology corn series. These products are specifically designed with superior herbicide adaptation and resistance to stem borer attacks, which are expected to significantly boost farmers' yields.
In addition to seed innovations, the company also presented cutting-edge crop protection solutions such as MIRAVIS Duo®, INCIPIO® 200 SC, and CUPRINOMAT. To facilitate field education, Syngenta launched the 'Syngenta Heroes' initiative, a character-based communication method designed to help farmers easily understand technology application and sustainable cultivation practices.
The President Director of Syngenta Indonesia explained that all these efforts embody the 'Petani MAJU' vision. This program is built on four main pillars: maximizing farmer profitability, accelerating innovation, collaborating in sustainability, and creating synergy across stakeholders to strengthen Indonesia's agribusiness sector.
The visitors' enthusiasm was evident from the high volume of visits to the Syngenta booth during the event, including visits from various regional officials who discussed the implementation of modern technologies such as the use of drones in the agricultural sector. This active involvement serves as a strong signal of private sector commitment to supporting the government's priority agenda for achieving national food independence.
