The coastal area of Bandulu Beach, Anyer, Serang Regency, remains a favorite destination for the public to spend school holidays, despite previous reports of eruptive activity at Mount Anak Krakatau. On-site monitoring on Thursday (9/7/2026) showed that the beach atmosphere remained bustling with tourists of all age groups.
Visitors appeared to enjoy various recreational activities, ranging from swimming in the water and playing with the beach sand to relaxing in several gazebos available along the shoreline. Quite a few tourists also took advantage of the beautiful sea view as a backdrop for their social media content.
This interest in visiting is not limited to locals, but also includes tourists from outside the region, such as Bogor and Jakarta. For visitors, the long distance from the capital is no obstacle to experiencing the beach atmosphere, which is considered calm and refreshing.
When asked about the volcanic condition of Mount Anak Krakatau, the majority of tourists stated they felt unbothered. Lian, a tourist from Bogor, expressed that she felt calm because the information she received confirmed that the Anyer tourist area remains in a safe condition to visit. A similar sentiment was expressed by Abdul Malik, a visitor from Jakarta, who admitted to encountering no significant obstacles during his trip, allowing him to enjoy his vacation without anxiety.
