The Badung Police Resort (Polres) continues to strive to maintain the stability of its jurisdiction, especially in tourism areas with dense night activities. Through the Samapta Unit, police officers held an Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD) titled "Blue Light Patrol" along Jalan Raya Canggu to the Batu Bolong Beach area on Sunday (26/7) early morning.
This preventive patrol, which started at 01:30 WITA, was led by the Head of the Turjawali Unit of the Badung Police Samapta Unit, Ipda Bagus Kobarawan. Using special service vehicles, officers swept through several crowd centers and popular nightlife spots such as Sand Bar and Old Man. In their action, the police collaborated with Balinese traditional security guards (pecalang) as well as related agencies to strengthen regional supervision.
In addition to conducting direct dialogue with business managers and visitors, police personnel were also equipped with body-worn cameras. The use of this technology is a tactical step to ensure transparency, accountability, and professionalism of officers when interacting with the public in the field. This step is aimed at anticipating the potential for 3C crimes (theft with weight, theft with violence, and motor vehicle theft) as well as street thug action.
Head of Samapta Unit of Badung Police, AKP Made Mangku Bunciana, emphasized that these intensive patrols will continue to be carried out periodically, especially during vulnerable hours in crowd centers. Synergy with the pecalang is considered very crucial in creating a sense of security for both domestic and foreign tourists enjoying their vacation in Bali.
Until the patrol ended near dawn, officers reported that the situation in the Canggu tourist area and its surroundings was safe and under control. No security disturbances or prominent incidents were found, allowing community activities and nightlife tourism to proceed comfortably.
