A brilliant achievement was recorded by the women's football team from Garut Regency in the national-level competition, the Hydroplus Soccer League All Stars U-18. Having successfully claimed the runner-up spot, the pride of the Garut community was welcomed directly by the Regent of Garut, Abdusy Syakur Amin, during a courtesy visit at the Regent's Office on Monday (13/7/2026).
During the meeting, Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin expressed his pride in the dedication and hard work of the young athletes. He described reaching the final round of this prestigious tournament as an extraordinary accomplishment that brought honor to the region on the national football stage.
"This is a proud achievement as well as a positive surprise. Their success in reaching the final round is proof of the quality talent possessed by our athletes," said Syakur in front of the team members.
Looking to the future, the Regent emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent training, especially for players who will be fielded in the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov). He advised the athletes not to become complacent quickly and to continue driving their potential to achieve higher success in the future.
As a concrete step, the Regent instructed the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of Garut Regency to strengthen support for young athlete development. He also encouraged holding sports competitions more intensively at the regional level as a platform to scout top future talent.
As a form of appreciation for the team's dedication and hard work in the competition, the Garut Regency Government presented monetary awards ("uang kadeudeuh") to all team members and coaching staff involved in this success.
