Actress and businesswoman Ussy Sulistiawaty has officially announced plans to close her culinary business, Nasi Bejeg Wijaya. The venture, which was just launched in early 2024, was forced to cease operations due to a series of internal issues deemed quite severe by the owner.
Through an official statement on social media, Ussy revealed that the decision was made after careful consideration and with regret. She emphasized that closing the business was not an easy choice, but the step had to be taken to resolve conflicts within her business management.
One of the main triggers for this firm decision was the discovery of fraudulent practices carried out by an individual with the initials E. Ussy mentioned that the individual allegedly conducted off-the-books transactions or "under the table", and even fled with a sum of the company's money.
Ussy expressed disappointment over another party trying to distort the facts regarding the closure of the business. She dismissed narratives claiming that the closure of Nasi Bejeg Wijaya was based on stubbornness or trivial matters, stating it was purely an accumulation of disappointment over the breach of trust committed by the parties involved.
Initially, Ussy intended to end her business operations quietly. However, seeing the growing public opinion targeting her, she felt the need to provide an open clarification so that the actual truth could be understood by the public and involved parties.
