PT Petrokimia Gresik, a member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding company, celebrated its 54th anniversary with a commitment to strengthening its business foundation amidst global industrial challenges. The agro-industrial solutions company continues to record impressive performance as a concrete effort to support the national food self-sufficiency program.
President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Daconi Khotob, stated that this year's anniversary theme, 'Growing the Future', reflects the company's spirit of adaptation in facing geopolitical dynamics, climate change, and raw material price fluctuations. Throughout 2025, the company successfully produced 4,683,477 tons of fertilizer, an increase of approximately 5% from the previous year. This positive trend continued into the first semester of 2026, with total production reaching 2,716,141 tons.
To maintain its growth momentum, the company carried out a series of strategic transformations, including modifying the Phosphate Plant I into the Phonska V Plant using Flex-Phos technology. This innovation provides high flexibility for the company to produce various types of fertilizer according to dynamic market needs.
Beyond the production sector, strengthening efforts also target the logistics infrastructure and supply chain. Petrokimia Gresik is currently completing the construction of a 40,000-ton capacity sulfuric acid storage tank and upgrading a dock capable of serving vessels up to 60,000 DWT capacity. In addition, long-term energy supply assurance up to 2035 has been secured through a gas supply agreement from the Madura Strait and Ketapang blocks.
Not stopping at productivity, Petrokimia Gresik also places sustainability as a top priority. The company is currently a national pilot project for the implementation of Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) technology, which is part of its 2025-2030 decarbonization roadmap. This step underlines that the transformation is aimed not only at business competitiveness but also at generating a positive impact on the environment and society.
