The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) is preparing to host the strategic Indonesia Sports Summit 2026. This national-scale event is scheduled to take place over three days, from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Jakarta.
Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir emphasized that this forum is designed as a meeting point for stakeholders to formulate innovations while strengthening the competitiveness of national sports on the global stage. The involvement of various elements, ranging from government agencies, sports organizations, and academia to the private sector, is key to creating a more comprehensive sports ecosystem.
This agenda, which follows the success of the 2025 edition, does not only focus on achievement development and athlete coaching. Furthermore, the government is encouraging the strengthening of the sports industry to make a tangible contribution to the economic aspect and the character building of Indonesia's younger generation.
During the event, participants will be presented with a series of discussion forums, seminars, and sports technology exhibitions aimed at facilitating the exchange of ideas and concrete partnership opportunities. Through this cross-sector synergy, the government aims to create an inclusive, sustainable sports foundation that can significantly boost the quality of national human resources.
