MUARO JAMBI – Welcoming the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Muaro Jambi is preparing to hold various entertainment games. The event, scheduled to take place from August 12 to 13, 2026, will involve all school elements, from students to teachers and education personnel (GTK).
This festive event was initiated by the student council (OSIM) officers and their advisors. In addition to celebrating this historic day for the Indonesian nation, the series of events is designed to break the ice and strengthen family bonds within the school community located in Sungai Gelam District.
OSIM advisor of MAN 1 Muaro Jambi, Nur Rohman Gesang Subagio, S.Pd., explained that technical preparations are being finalized to ensure all activities run smoothly. He emphasized that these games are not just for entertainment, but are important tools to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and togetherness among all members of the school.
Several traditional games rich in history and togetherness are confirmed to be on the list. Among them are the balloon relay, which requires solid team coordination, and the cracker-eating contest (lomba makan kerupuk), which always succeeds in bringing laughter. The selection of these games was deliberately tailored to bring joy without neglecting the essence of the heroes' struggle.
Meanwhile, the Vice Principal of Student Affairs, Siti Fatimah, S.Pd., added that this independence celebration momentum has a broad educational dimension. According to her, outdoor activities like this are effective for instilling character values in students, such as discipline, responsibility, and a never-give-up mentality.
With the active involvement of all teachers, staff, and students, the school hopes that this 81st Independence Day celebration will create a more harmonious learning environment filled with national spirit. The organizing committee also urged all participants to maintain peace and sportsmanship throughout the games for the success of the event.
