KAMPAR – The prestigious Gala Desa Persipuja Cup V 2026 football tournament has officially come to an end. The lively closing ceremony, held at the Pulau Jambu Village Football Field in Kampar Sub-district on Monday (27/7/2026), was attended in person by the Sub-district Head of Kampar, Shendi Septian, and a member of the Kampar Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) from the PKS Faction, Rinaldo Saputra.
The football competition, which had been running since June 5, concluded with a final match between teams from Ghobah Village, Tambang Sub-district, and Bintang Kulon Village. The presence of traditional leaders (Ninik Mamak), religious leaders, community figures, and hundreds of local residents added to the excitement of the annual tournament's peak match.
In his speech, the Sub-district Head of Kampar, Shendi Septian, expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to all parties who supported the smooth running of the event, from village officials and sponsors to local youth. He hoped this competition would produce talented future football athletes. "Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), the entire series of events went orderly. Hopefully, next year this tournament can be held even more festively to attract more local talent," Shendi said.
Echoing the Sub-district Head, Kampar DPRD Member Rinaldo Saputra highly appreciated the sportsmanship and unity of the community in making this event a success. According to him, such events are not just about chasing victory, but also serve as a means to nurture youth potential, strengthen unity, and revive the spirit of sports at the village level.
Rinaldo also reaffirmed the legislative commitment to continue supporting positive youth activities to minimize the potential for juvenile delinquency in village environments. The closing ceremony of the Gala Desa Persipuja Cup V concluded with the presentation of trophies and coaching prizes to the winners, greeted by loud applause from the community.
