MTsN 2 Jambi City officially commenced the new 2026/2027 academic year by holding its first flag ceremony on Monday (13/7/2026). The event, which took place in the madrasah's main courtyard, was attended by the entire school community, including students from grades 7 to 9, as well as the teaching staff.
In his address, the Acting Principal of the Madrasah, Azikri, highlighted the importance of balancing technological advancement with the instillation of moral values. He emphasized that although the madrasah has now installed a CCTV surveillance system, students' personal integrity remains the primary benchmark in character building.
"Technology is merely a tool. What is far more important is the 'personal CCTV' within each student—namely, the awareness that our morals and behavior are always watched by Almighty God," Azikri stated before the ceremony participants.
To maintain focus and discipline within the educational environment, the school strictly limits the use of devices. Students are prohibited from bringing mobile phones to the school premises, unless instructed by a teacher for specific teaching and learning needs. This rule is deemed a strategic step to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
Azikri also advised grade 8 and 9 students to serve as role models for the new students. He expressed hope that through the implementation of the "Love Curriculum" initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the MTsN 2 Jambi City environment would become a safe, friendly space capable of nurturing intelligent generations with strong noble character.
