The 2026 Bojonegoro Regency Sports Week (Porkab) II has entered a crucial phase. The Dander District Futsal Team officially claimed the championship title after ending the fierce resistance of Kapas District with a narrow 1-0 score in the final match held at GOR Utama Bojonegoro on Friday (10/7/2026). With this result, Dander brought home the gold medal, while bronze medals were awarded to Ngasem District and Bojonegoro District.
This prestigious sporting event also concluded the handball finals. In the men's division, Bojonegoro District dominated by defeating Balen District with a decisive score of 25-15. Meanwhile, in the women's category, Trucuk District secured the top spot on the podium after edging out Baureno District with a close score of 9-7.
Vice Chairman of the Bojonegoro Regency KONI (National Sports Committee of Indonesia), Tonny Ade Irawan, stated that the Porkab II agenda still has one final series of matches remaining, namely Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The inclusion of MMA marks a new milestone in history, with 44 athletes from 13 districts competing across three event categories at the Bojonegoro Sport Center.
Tonny emphasized that adding this combat sport is a strategic move to broaden the scope of local athlete development. His side is optimistic that Porkab II Bojonegoro can serve as a proving ground for young athletes to hone their skills before stepping up to higher levels of competition, both provincially and nationally.
