Wong Solo Group has officially declared its commitment to strengthening the boxing sports ecosystem in Central Java. This step is realized through tangible support for the holding of various boxing championships aimed at scouting young athletic talent in the region.
Owner of Wong Solo Group, Puspo Wardoyo, emphasized his readiness to facilitate various professional boxing events, including offering the Kalipepe Land business location in Boyolali as a match arena. According to him, there is a strong synergy between the sports industry and the culinary sector, where organizing competitions can attract public enthusiasm while boosting the local economy.
"We strongly support this initiative because boxing is not only about achievement, but also instills sportsmanship values that are important for the younger generation. We want to foster public competitiveness and purchasing power through positive activities," said Puspo on the sidelines of the Central Java Governor's Golden Belt match in Solo.
Central Java Governor, Ahmad Luthfi, welcomed the support from the private sector. He emphasized the importance of competition spaces for local boxers to develop further. According to the Governor, regional training gyms must be able to transform into crucibles that produce athletes with a champion mentality, discipline, and an indomitable spirit.
The boxing championship, which is also supported by various parties such as KONI, Pertina Solo, and Bank Jateng, is expected to be a sustainable first step. This synergy between the government and business actors is expected to maintain a healthy competition rhythm, so that the regeneration of boxing athletes in Central Java can be sustained with more competitive quality at both national and international levels.
