The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) of the Republic of Indonesia has officially entered into a strategic collaboration with PT Nestlé Indonesia to drive the advancement of the sports industry in the country. This cooperation was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Kemenpora Media Center, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6).
The signing ceremony of the cooperation document was conducted by the Secretary of Kemenpora, Gunawan Suswantoro, together with the Marketing Manager of Nestlé MILO Indonesia, Alaa Shaaban. The event was directly witnessed by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Taufik Hidayat, who stressed the importance of private sector involvement in building a more sustainable sports ecosystem.
Deputy Minister Taufik Hidayat stated that the government cannot act alone in advancing sports achievements. Synergy with the private sector is seen as a crucial step so that sports development can be carried out comprehensively, starting from athlete talent development to strengthening supporting industries.
In the commitment agreed upon for the next five years, both parties agreed to focus on developing sports programs that deliver a real impact for the community. Beyond merely promoting an active lifestyle, this cooperation is also expected to accelerate the growth of a competitive sports industry at both regional and international levels.
Meanwhile, Nestlé Indonesia reaffirmed that this partnership aligns with the company's mission to shape a healthy and resilient young generation. Through a combination of proper nutrition and consistent support for physical activity, it is hoped that a strong foundation of character needed by Indonesia's future athletes will be created.
