Boosting Bureaucratic Quality, Surabaya's Korpri Pura Raharja Hospital Prepares to Become Global-Standard Civil Servant Healthcare Center

SURABAYA – Korpri Pura Raharja Hospital in Surabaya officially introduced its new identity as part of the strategic Korpri Health program. This transformative step received direct appreciation from the Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) and General Chair of the National Korpri Governing Board, Prof. Zudan. He emphasized that health insurance for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) is not merely a facility, but a vital investment to boost the quality of bureaucracy and public services.

During the inauguration on Friday (10/07/2026), Prof. Zudan stressed the importance of Korpri Health evolving into a sustainable national health movement. The program is designed not only to focus on treatment (curative), but to shift toward prevention through healthy lifestyle education, periodic medical check-ups, and the administration of vaccinations to prevent diseases early on.

Furthermore, he explained that a healthy civil service is a main pillar in building reliable national talent management. With prime physical and mental conditions, civil servants are believed to have high productivity and strong resilience to face increasingly complex public service challenges in the future.

The momentum of this identity change was also marked by the signing of strategic memorandums of understanding (MoUs). RS Korpri Pura Raharja officially collaborated with the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology Studies at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), and established an international partnership with St. Mary’s Hospital Korea to adopt the latest digital medical technology.

On the sidelines of the event, monitoring of the One Million HPV Vaccination Program was also conducted, joined by hundreds of civil servants and their families within the East Java Provincial Government. The agenda was attended by key regional stakeholders, including the Regional Secretary of East Java Province, representatives of BKD East Java, BPJS Kesehatan Surabaya, and the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Jatim) Health Division.
