Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Region is proactively strengthening the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) ecosystem through the 'Go Global Academy' initiative. In collaboration with Universitas Riau, this intensive program was attended by ten selected foster partners operating in the culinary and creative economy sectors in Pekanbaru at the end of last June.
Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Region, emphasized that this step reflects the company's commitment to enhancing business capacity so they possess strong competitiveness on the international stage. The main focus of the training covers crucial aspects such as product standardization, legality, branding strategies, and customs procedures, which are key requirements for global market penetration.
In addition to technical presentations, participants gained exclusive opportunities through business clinics. This session allowed MSME entrepreneurs to consult directly with experts on real challenges faced in the field. This discussion-based approach is designed to provide strategic solutions to sustainably strengthen operational business foundations.
Participants, including business owners from Laksamana Snack and Permata Food, expressed optimism after completing the training series. They believe that Pertamina's guidance, ranging from management training to opportunities to participate in national-scale exhibitions, provides crucial support for the future sustainability of their businesses.
This initiative also serves as a tangible demonstration of Pertamina's support for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in supporting economic growth and providing decent work. Through this capacity enhancement, it is hoped that more Indonesian local products will meet global standards while contributing significantly to strengthening the national economy.
