Indonesia has made a significant historical mark on the international industrial stage by becoming the first Southeast Asian country named Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026. Held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from July 6–9, 2026, this large-scale industrial exhibition serves as a platform for Indonesia to showcase its national manufacturing advancements to key stakeholders across the Eurasian region.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that this participation is a strategic step toward strengthening national industrial ties with Eurasian countries. Through enhanced downstreaming, technology transfer, and expanded market access, the government remains committed to boosting the competitiveness of Indonesian manufactured products to make them higher in value-add and more sustainable in line with the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
On that occasion, the Indonesian Pavilion took center stage. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, specifically visited the 1,500-square-meter pavilion. This visit underscored Indonesia's position as a respected partner in the global supply chain map, particularly amid the global demand for manufacturing diversification.
The Indonesian Pavilion featured at least 50 co-exhibitors from various strategic sectors, ranging from metal, electronics, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals to industrial estates. Carrying the theme 'Navigating Industrial Futures', the exhibition not only showcased products but also provided a platform for business players to hold bilateral meetings and business matching to forge concrete future collaborations.
Director General of KPAII at the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, explained that Indonesia's presence at the event is designed as a long-term collaboration platform. Through active involvement in INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia hopes to deepen its integration into global supply chains and attract foreign investment capable of accelerating the national industrial transformation toward a more modern and innovative future.
