The 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) witnessed the launch of cutting-edge automotive technology from Omoda & Jaecoo. Through the premium SUV model Jaecoo J7 SHS-P, the automaker officially introduced the smart automatic parking system called Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) as an innovative solution for urban mobility.
Notably, Indonesia has the honor of being the first country in the world to launch this advanced technology globally. This strategic move highlights the importance of the domestic market, before the SIVP feature is gradually expanded to other international markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Thailand.
The SIVP system offers two key features designed to simplify daily driving activities: smart parking and smart summon. The smart parking feature allows the car to detect and park itself autonomously without direct driver control, while smart summon enables owners to call their vehicle back to a pickup point via a smartphone application.
Head of Product at Omoda Jaecoo Indonesia, Ryan Ferdiean Tirto, emphasized that SIVP is the latest upgrade from conventional automatic parking systems. On the other hand, Business Unit Director of Omoda & Jaecoo Indonesia, Jim Ma, added that this technology was born from a deep understanding of urban issues, where residents often experience stress due to traffic congestion and the difficulty of finding vacant parking spaces.
Along with the introduction of this technology at GIIAS 2026, early pre-orders for the Jaecoo J7 SHS-P variant featuring the SIVP technology have officially opened. Interested consumers can now secure their booking spot through the official Jaecoo Indonesia website.
