The Can Tho City Government is now taking strategic steps to optimize state revenue by accelerating digitalization in the household business sector. Local tax authorities have shifted their communication approach from a one-way model to a technology-based, more personalized, and solution-oriented multi-channel interaction.

In a campaign themed "Accompanying Household Businesses," the tax management team is proactively visiting markets and business districts. Officers provide technical assistance regarding the use of the eTax Mobile application, digital bookkeeping management, and tax liability reporting. This initiative is reinforced by creative educational content on social media to reach businesses more effectively and in an easily understandable way.

Tangible support from the government is being felt by businesses, notably through the implementation of electronic invoicing. Business owners can now issue invoices instantly, flexibly, and with greater data security compared to conventional systems. Nevertheless, the government remains committed to providing dedicated assistance for elderly business owners or those with limited access to technology.

Cross-sector synergy is also being strengthened by partnering with the private sector, such as Viettel Can Tho, which provides the Tendoo sales management system platform. This technological solution allows business owners to manage operations and generate electronic invoices directly from their mobile phones, while eliminating administrative hurdles associated with traditional record-keeping processes.

The Ninh Kieu Ward Government emphasized that efforts to increase the 2026 budget revenue target by 10% will not burden business owners. The primary focus remains on creating a stable and supportive business environment. Through more precise mapping of revenue sources, the local government aims to strengthen the local economic ecosystem without creating administrative pressures that hinder the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises.
