The People's Council of Quang Ninh Province has officially agreed on three crucial resolutions designed to accelerate infrastructure development and digital technology innovation. These policies include establishing criteria for local funding for tech startups for the 2026-2031 period, support for semiconductor industry players, and regulations on using state funds for scientific research and development.
This strategic move was taken as a concrete form of commitment in implementing the Politburo's mandate to shape an economic growth model based on technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The main focus of this policy is to create a conducive ecosystem for business players to adopt advanced technologies while increasing digital production capacity in the region.
Currently, Quang Ninh is boosting a number of strategic infrastructure projects, including the development of the Tuan Chau Digital Technology Park and the construction of a smart border gate in Mong Cai. The province is also aggressively attracting investment from global technology companies, such as Foxconn and Jinko Solar, to reinforce its position as a new knowledge economy hub.
Beyond physical infrastructure development, the local government is also prioritizing the development of special economic zones covering the digital economy, green economy, and modern maritime economy. This initiative is supported by the growth of startup communities in smart tourism, precision agriculture, and logistics, which are expected to significantly boost regional economic competitiveness.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Anh, emphasized the importance of swift and measurable execution. All relevant departments have been instructed to immediately draft clear technical guidelines to ensure every program can be effectively implemented on the ground, while minimizing obstacles that may arise during this digital transition process.
