The Indonesian Nature Wanderer Association (PKAI), in collaboration with the Backpacker Indonesia (BPI) Malang Raya Chapter community and the media outlet Suara Utama, is preparing to organize two outdoor exploration events in August 2026. This activity is designed to accommodate adventure lovers while promoting eco-friendly tourism in the East Java region.
The first event is a casual hike and meet-up scheduled for Sunday, August 2, 2026. The destination of the hike is Mount Lorokan, which stands at 1,100 meters above sea level (masl) in the Pacet area, Mojokerto Regency. This trip is designed as a round-trip without camping (day hike), with the meeting point at the Sendi Pacet Rest Area starting at 10:00 AM WIB.
A few weeks later, the second event, titled "3-in-1 Beach Open Trip," will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026. This journey along the southern coast of Malang Regency will visit three destinations: Ngentup Beach, Banyu Meneng Beach, and Selok Beach. The group is scheduled to depart from the PKAI Base Camp in Kepanjen District, Malang Regency, starting at 07:00 AM WIB.
PKAI initiator and organizing representative, Andre Hariyanto, explained that participation in both activities requires no registration fee—it is entirely free. However, participants are required to cover their own personal operational expenses, including transportation to the locations, tourist area admission tickets, logistics, and parking fees.
Through this nature-loving program, the organizers hope to build a positive social network while educating the public on the importance of maintaining cleanliness and preserving the ecosystems visited. For those interested in joining, registration information can be accessed through the organizers' official communication channels.
