PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM) recorded a significant decrease in the gold buyback price as of Wednesday (7/8/2026). Data from Logam Mulia shows that the buyback price for gold bars stands at Rp2,393,000 per gram, following a daily correction of Rp21,000.

The current price level has dropped sharply by Rp596,000 compared to the all-time high record of Rp2,989,000 set in late January 2026. This fluctuation reflects the dynamics of precious metal prices in the global market.

For investor information, buyback transactions refer to the service where Antam repurchases gold from the public. In accordance with PMK No 34/PMK.10/2017 regulations, any buyback transaction exceeding Rp10 million is subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 of 1.5% for NPWP (Taxpayer Identification Number) holders, and 3% for non-NPWP holders. This tax deduction is applied directly to the total transaction value.

Dupoin Futures analyst Geraldo Kofit highlighted that gold remains a favored safe-haven asset amid global economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions. Investors tend to turn to gold as a store of value when stock and currency markets experience high volatility.

On the other hand, the monetary policy of the US central bank, the Federal Reserve, remains a crucial factor influencing gold price trends. Market expectations of monetary policy easing, driven by cooling inflation data and US labor market conditions, could potentially provide positive sentiment for gold in the future as US dollar dominance and government bond yields weaken.
