The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Museum now appears more dynamic by adopting interactive digital technology. This breakthrough received direct praise from the Chair of Commission X of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Hetifah Sjaifudian, during a working visit with ITB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., on Thursday (9/7/2026).
During the visit, Hetifah highlighted how the museum has successfully packaged scientific and technological achievements through digital devices that pamper visitors. The interactive concept implemented allows the public to explore the campus's history and innovations in a more personal and in-depth manner.
One of the flagship features attracting attention is a facility that enables visitors to digitally identify Indonesian flora. In addition, visitors can learn about the construction history of the historic West Hall and observe a collection of classic artifacts, such as a microscope from the Dutch colonial era, which is now presented in a three-dimensional visual format.
The educational experience at the ITB Museum is further enriched by the presence of a dome theater facility. This technology presents various informative shows with immersive visual quality, turning the museum not only into a repository for historical items, but also into a technology learning hub relevant to modern developments.
