Armed with an automotive hobby and an understanding of digital technology, Sendia Alfiandi, a student of the Digital Business Study Program at Nusa Mandiri University (UNM), successfully pioneered a motorcycle modification business called Mosic Garage. Through the optimization of digital marketing strategies, this business, which initially started at a home scale, is now able to record a turnover of up to IDR 500 million per year.
Sendia started this creative business in 2018 in a simple garage. Consistency in maintaining quality and design creativity has slowly made Mosic Garage widely known. Entering 2023, Sendia began to scale up production to meet the soaring market demand from various regions.
The main key behind the rapid development of this business lies in the consistent use of social media. Sendia maximized digital platforms to build brand identity (branding), showcase portfolios of modified work, and interact directly with loyal customers without relying on conventional promotion methods that incur high costs.
Sendia admitted that the lecture material he received in the UNM Digital Business Study Program had a real impact on his business. The concepts of digital marketing, brand management, and business strategies taught in class could be implemented immediately to increase operational efficiency and exponentially expand the market reach of Mosic Garage.
Responding to her student's achievement, the Head of the Digital Business Study Program at UNM, Lia Mazia, expressed high appreciation. According to her, Sendia's success is concrete proof that the campus curriculum is able to meet industry challenges. UNM is committed to equipping students with project-based learning methods, artificial intelligence, and startup development so that graduates are ready to become creators of new jobs in the digital economy era.
