The application of a lifestyle in accordance with the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has come back into the spotlight as a relevant and holistic lifestyle guide. In a dialogue titled "Health Secrets in the Sunnah of the Prophet" broadcast by RRI Banda Aceh, dr. Syukran, M.Sc, emphasized that health is a trust that must be maintained as a form of gratitude to God.
Dr. Syukran, who also serves as the Deputy Director of Services at Fakinah Hospital, explained that Islam teaches a balance between physical and spiritual needs. Simple habits such as eating in moderation, maintaining cleanliness, staying active, and fasting regularly are forms of disease prevention that align with contemporary medical health standards.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of prevention over mere treatment. A lifestyle that includes balanced nutrition, stress management, and regular physical activity is the main key to maintaining long-term quality of life for every individual.
Although spirituality plays a crucial role, dr. Syukran stressed that medical efforts remain an obligation. Reliance on God (tawakkal) must be accompanied by real action, namely immediately consulting medical personnel when experiencing health problems to receive accurate and timely treatment.
In conclusion, he invited the public to start consistently adopting the lifestyle exemplified by the Prophet. The integration of physical health discipline and mental peace through worship is believed to be a powerful solution to achieving complete well-being amid the challenges of modern lifestyles today.
