The Bogor City Government, through the Housing and Settlement Department (Disperumkim), has begun implementing digitalization steps to increase efficiency and supervision of its operational fleet. This step is marked by a trial installation of GPS tracker devices and fuel sensors (fuel sensors) on public service official vehicles.
In the initial stage, this monitoring system is installed on one unit of a transport truck (dump truck) tasked with transporting garden waste, tree pruning remnants, and green line maintenance. This pilot project is projected to run for the next two months to evaluate its effectiveness before being implemented across the rest of the operational fleet.
Secretary of Bogor City Disperumkim, Erwin Gunawan, revealed that this innovation aims to create transparency and accuracy in the use of regional budgets, specifically regarding fuel (BBM) consumption. Through data from the sensor, the planning and evaluation process of operational vehicle logistics needs can be conducted in a more measurable manner.
In addition to fuel consumption efficiency, the asset security supervision aspect is also a priority. With the GPS tracker, vehicle movements can be monitored in real-time to ensure drivers carry out their duties according to designated routes, while preventing vehicle misuse outside of official needs.
This monitoring system will later be integrated with the SiMBARA application to facilitate centralized tracking of routes and fuel consumption. This step of updating the supervision system has also received full support from the Head of the Bogor City Disperumkim, Chusnul Rozaqi, to encourage the optimization of Regional Owned Property (BMD) that is efficient and targeted.
