PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk is stepping on the gas to carry out a more comprehensive business transformation. This strategy is designed to reposition the company so that it is not only known as a housing loan provider, but also as a primary financial partner for the entire housing ecosystem and national economic actors.
This ecosystem-based approach encompasses various modern financial services, ranging from cash management and supply chain financing to strengthening digital banking services. This strategic move has proven fruitful; as of May 2026, BTN recorded a consolidated net profit of IDR 1.85 trillion. This figure reflects a significant year-on-year growth of 54.37 percent, far surpassing the national banking industry's average profit growth of 4.96 percent.
This impressive performance was also supported by credit expansion reaching IDR 403.06 trillion, growing 9.97 percent year-on-year. In addition, Third-Party Funds (DPK) collection recorded a 9.09 percent increase to IDR 433.95 trillion, also outperforming the general banking industry's DPK growth rate.
The success of this transformation gained international recognition at the Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2026 in Singapore. BTN successfully bagged five awards at once, including categories for digital transformation, ecosystem platform initiatives, and bank technology and operational initiatives.
BTN Risk Management Director, Setiyo Wibowo, emphasized that this transformation goes hand in hand with commitments to governance and sustainability. As concrete proof, BTN became the first bank in Indonesia to achieve an MSCI ESG Rating of AA. This achievement validates that the company's business strategy is now aligned with increasingly stringent global environmental, social, and governance standards.
