Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) State Islamic University (UIN) Jambi has officially established a strategic partnership with the Jambi City Health Office and several local healthcare service institutions. This collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) held at the Meeting Room of H. Abdul Manap Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Jambi City on Monday (27/7/2026), to support the acceleration of the institution's Faculty of Medicine.

The Rector of UIN STS Jambi, Prof. Dr. H. Kasful Anwar, M.Pd., expressed his deep appreciation to the Jambi City Government for its full support toward the development of the Faculty of Medicine, which is now entering its second year since establishment. This cross-sector collaboration is deemed highly crucial in meeting the needs for facilities, infrastructure, and human resource quality improvement to support the Tri Dharma (Three Pillars) of Higher Education.

On the same occasion, the Mayor of Jambi, Dr. dr. H. Maulana, M.K.M., reaffirmed the local government's commitment to ensuring the success of medical education in Jambi. Through this agreement, H. Abdul Manap RSUD has been officially designated as the Primary Teaching Hospital, while Abdurrahman Sayoeti Hospital along with several community health centers (puskesmas) in Jambi City and Muaro Jambi Regency will serve as the supporting network.

With the designation of H. Abdul Manap RSUD as the primary teaching hospital, local medical specialists will subsequently serve as clinical instructors guiding the medical students of UIN STS Jambi directly. This synergy is expected not only to produce competent and highly competitive medical graduates, but also to have a positive, sustainable impact on improving public health standards in Jambi Province.
