PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining operational integrity by implementing a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of fraud. This decisive step is taken as a concrete effort by the company to ensure that all business activities continue to run transparently, accountably, and prioritizing prudent principles.
BRI Corporate Secretary, Dhanny, stated that the company will not give room to any individuals attempting to commit misconduct that risks harming customers, the state, or the institution's reputation. Any indication of a criminal offense discovered will immediately undergo a strict internal investigation, and if proven to violate the law, BRI is committed to fully handing over the case to law enforcement authorities (APH).
In its ongoing transformation efforts, BRI is strengthening its Good Corporate Governance (GCG) foundation across all its work units without exception. This reinforcement includes optimizing risk management, technology-based early detection systems, and consistent enforcement of disciplinary rules for all employees, both at staff and managerial levels. This policy is also aligned with directives to strengthen governance within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) that continue to be promoted.
In addition to tightening supervision, the state-owned bank also promotes an internal culture that upholds work ethics. Through the Whistleblowing System (WBS) mechanism and increasing compliance awareness, the company strives to create a conducive work environment while minimizing opportunities for criminal offenses. Firm sanctions, ranging from disciplinary actions to termination of employment, are absolute consequences for any rule violators.
BRI believes that robust governance is the main key to maintaining the company's competitiveness and long-term value. By prioritizing transparency and integrity as its primary work culture, BRI is optimistic that it can continue to enhance public and stakeholder trust in the long run.
