The Bekasi Regency Government has reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improve the quality of maternal and child health. This strategic step is realized through strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders, especially close synergy with the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) of Bekasi Regency Branch as the vanguard of family health services.

This was stated by the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, while attending the 75th Anniversary of IBI at Holiday Inn Cikarang on Saturday (25/7/2026). Asep emphasized that midwives play a crucial role as primary family partners in maintaining maternal and infant health, as well as monitoring child growth and development from the early stages of life.

This year's anniversary celebration carries the theme "One Million More Midwives," which is deemed highly relevant to the dynamics and challenges of the current health sector development. The theme serves as a reminder of the importance of providing competent, professional, and responsive midwives to meet the ever-increasing demands for healthcare services.

Through this momentum, the Bekasi Regency Government hopes that the Bekasi Regency IBI can continue to position itself as a strategic partner of the local government. This solid cooperation is expected to bring about healthcare service breakthroughs that are increasingly qualitative, inclusive, and equitable for all levels of society.
