At the prestigious VivaTech 2026 technology exhibition in Paris, Samsung Electronics reaffirmed its commitment to transforming healthcare through the concept of connected care. Through an open collaborative ecosystem, the tech giant aims to integrate various smart devices to create more personalized and easily accessible health solutions from home.
The panel discussion session, attended by around 1,000 participants, featured industry leaders, including Hon Pak, Head of Digital Health Team, Samsung MX Business, along with representatives from Xealth, Generation Lab, and SiPhox Health. The main focus of the discussion was how cross-platform synergy—ranging from home appliances to advanced sensor technology—can facilitate seamless, continuous health monitoring without complex clinical barriers.
Hon Pak emphasized that Samsung's strength lies in the massive reach of its ecosystem, supported by over 77 million Samsung Health active users and 460 million devices connected via the SmartThings platform. This integration enables users to monitor daily biomarkers and health conditions with greater precision, backed by high-level data security through the Samsung Knox defense system.
Furthermore, partners such as Generation Lab and SiPhox Health praised Samsung's openness in sharing technical capabilities with developers. By providing the Samsung Health Software Development Kit (SDK), the company opens broad opportunities for innovators to create new health applications that offer direct benefits to users worldwide.
Looking to the future, Samsung is optimistic that the integration of AI technology will further reinforce the position of home devices as hubs for preventive healthcare. This integration not only simplifies medical access but also provides a digital health companion capable of proactively adapting to the unique needs of each individual.
