The Judicial Commission (KY) of the Republic of Indonesia has officially announced the passing of 19 participants in the Health and Personality Selection for Supreme Court Justice Candidates (CHA) of 2026. This decision was based on the results of the KY Plenary Meeting held on July 28, 2026, marking a new chapter for the candidates to compete for positions at the pinnacle of Indonesia's highest judiciary.
The candidates who passed are now preparing to face the next crucial stage, namely the Interview Selection. This structured oral examination is scheduled to take place from August 3 to 7, 2026, and will be centered at the Judicial Commission Office in Central Jakarta.
The list of candidates advancing to the interview stage reflects a diverse professional combination, ranging from high court leadership, Supreme Court officials, academics, to legal practitioners. Some of the names include Bambang Myanto (Director General of the General Court Body of the Supreme Court), Sugiyanto (Secretary of the Supreme Court), Dr. Hj. Nirwana (Chief of the Makassar High Court), as well as non-judicial figures such as advocate Dr. Dhifla Wiyani and academic Prof. Dr. Yeheskiel Minggus T. from UNISSULA.
This rigorous selection process is expected to produce supreme court justices who not only possess qualified academic and legal track records but also uphold high moral integrity as well as excellent physical and mental health in executing justice in the country.
