West Sumbawa – PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) has declared its full commitment to supporting the Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) XII West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) which will take place in 2026. The support from one of the national copper and gold mining giants is designed to go beyond the boundaries of ordinary sports competition, by integrating the cultural sector and community economic empowerment.

AMMAN's Vice President Policy & Permitting and Social Impact, Priyo Pramono, revealed that the company's involvement in this quadrennial sports event is a tangible manifestation of its vision to grow together with the community. According to him, PORPROV XII is not only a stage for athletes to achieve success, but also a platform for collaboration to celebrate local wisdom and improve the welfare of residents.

In addition to providing sponsorship support, a number of AMMAN employees are also reported to participate directly as athletes. They are ready to compete in several leading sports branches (cabor) such as golf, archery, boxing, aerosports, and swimming. This active involvement reflects the company's internal commitment to encouraging a healthy lifestyle as well as a balance between work professionalism and individual talent development.

This strategic support is aligned with the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program carried out by AMMAN through the 'Sports for Development' pillar. Through this initiative, sports are positioned as an effective medium for building youth character and strengthening the capacity of local sports institutions in West Sumbawa, including training for local coaches and referees.

In terms of economic empowerment and cultural preservation, AMMAN is optimizing the momentum of PORPROV to expand the market for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). One of the main focuses is the promotion of local traditional weaving through production quality improvement programs and integrated entrepreneurship training for local weaver groups.

PORPROV XII NTB 2026 itself is organized by the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of NTB Province. This multi-sport event is also projected as an important stepping stone in scouting potential athletes to prepare the regional contingent for the XXII Nusa Tenggara National Sports Week (PON), which will be held in 2028.
