SMA Nahdlatul Wathan Jakarta, in collaboration with Puskesmas Penggilingan, held a Free Health Check (CKG) activity at the end of last July. This preventive measure aims to monitor the physical condition of students early on, so that potential health issues can be identified and addressed quickly before impacting their learning process.
Following the activity which took place on July 29, 2026, the student council (OSIS) of SMA Nahdlatul Wathan, represented by OSIS President Zahratunisa and General Secretary Balkis, had the opportunity to hold a direct dialogue with the person in charge (PIC) of immunization at Puskesmas Penggilingan, Midwife Maria Ulfa. During the discussion session, Maria explained that this CKG program is a new initiative this year to strengthen the student health protection system in schools.
The examinations performed covered several important clinical indicators. Junior and senior high school female students underwent hemoglobin (Hb) level testing to detect the risk of anemia early on. Additionally, all participants also underwent routine blood pressure checks and random blood glucose (RBG) tests to screen for potential diabetes during adolescence.
Maria Ulfa added that this examination program is focused on the school environment in stages, starting from Elementary School (SD) to Senior High School (SMA). For the general public outside the school environment, Puskesmas Penggilingan continues to provide similar services periodically through Posyandu (integrated health post) activities as well as health service posts at the RT (neighborhood) and RW (community) levels.
This activity received high appreciation from teachers and students as it facilitates easy and free access to healthcare. Through this cross-sector synergy, it is hoped that awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle will become increasingly embedded in the school environment to foster a young generation that is physically healthy and academically outstanding.
