The Muhammadiyah Business Union (SUMU), through its SUMU Catalyst division, successfully held an online seminar titled "Building a Precious Metal Business with SilverMu & EmasMu." The event, which took place on Friday (3/7/2026), aimed to educate the public and MSME owners about the vast economic potential in the precious metals trading sector.

Attending as the keynote speaker, the President Director of PT Putra Surya Yogyakarta, Achmad Zani, explained that the precious metals industry has now transformed into something more than just an investment instrument. According to him, there is a significant business opportunity for local entrepreneurs to get involved in the trading ecosystem, contract manufacturing services, and private brand development without being burdened by the cost of building their own production facilities.

Achmad Zani emphasized that the EmasMu and SilverMu ecosystems are designed to serve as a bridge for people who want to enter this industry more efficiently. He explained five main business models that can be adopted, including becoming an official dealer, utilizing bundling programs, rebranding strategies, contract manufacturing services, and comprehensive assistance in establishing a precious metals company from scratch.

Furthermore, this initiative is part of SUMU's commitment to strengthening entrepreneurial capacity at the grassroots level. With integrated mentoring, business actors of various scales are expected to tap into the increasingly promising national precious metals market through a measurable and sustainable business model.

The discussion session was dynamic, with high enthusiasm from the participants, particularly regarding product certification mechanisms and market penetration strategies in the digital era. This step is expected to drive community economic independence through more open access to the precious metals industry.
