The Sidoarjo Regency Government, through the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), is currently actively conducting enforcement operations against several nightlife venues operating without official permits. This firm measure was taken to enforce local regulations while addressing public concern to maintain public order in the Sidoarjo region.
Head of Sidoarjo Regency Satpol PP, Yani Setiawan, revealed that this crackdown targets businesses proven to violate regulations or lack permit documents. Field supervision is conducted periodically based on routine patrol findings and reports from disturbed local residents.
Although enforcement is carried out firmly, Yani assured that Satpol PP personnel prioritize a persuasive approach in the initial stages. Non-compliant business operators will first be given a written warning to immediately process their operational permits according to applicable legal procedures.
However, if verbal or written warnings are ignored by business owners, authorities will not hesitate to impose administrative sanctions up to forced closure of the business. This effort reflects Sidoarjo Regency Government's commitment to creating a conducive and law-abiding investment and business climate.
Furthermore, Yani also invited the people of Sidoarjo to proactively report any suspicious nightlife activities or those suspected of lacking legal permits. Synergy between residents and local regulation enforcement officers is considered key to maintaining a conducive social environment.
