Law enforcement and public order in Padang City continue to be tightened to anticipate potential social violations in public spaces. In this effort, a joint team consisting of the Padang City Satpol PP (Civil Service Police), the TNI Military Police (PM), and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) conducted a large-scale Yustisi Operation in the early hours of Sunday, targeting several nightlife venues in the capital of West Sumatra Province.
This integrated operation was led directly by the Head of the Operations and Control Section (Kasi Opsdal) of the Padang Satpol PP, Harvi Dasnoer. This preventive measure focused on checking business license documents as well as the identification of the visitors present, referring to Padang City Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 1 of 2025 concerning Public Peace and Order (Trantibum).
During the sweep, officers prioritized a humane and persuasive approach, yet remained firm in enforcing the rules. Intensive inspections were conducted on each individual at the locations to ensure there were no legal violations, including illicit drug trafficking and other social ills.
From the operation, officers apprehended nine visitors—consisting of five women and four men—who were proven to not have Identity Cards (KTP) or other official identification documents. All administrative violators were subsequently taken to the Padang City Satpol PP Command Headquarters to undergo further data recording and guidance by Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS).
