Soldiers of the Naval Regional Command (Kodaeral) III actively participated in the 2026 Indonesian Navy Sports Week (PORAL). In this prestigious event, selected soldiers were entrusted to reinforce the Indonesian Fleet Command (Koarmada RI) contingent to compete across various sports branches.
The opening ceremony of the annual sporting event was solemnly held at Trisila Field, Navy Headquarters (Mabesal), Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Monday (13/7). The Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal), Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali, personally presided over the opening, marking the official commencement of the inter-unit competitions within the Indonesian Navy.
The involvement of Kodaeral III is not merely a display of physical prowess, but a tangible manifestation of commitment to athletic development and an effort to mold tough and professional soldiers. Aside from Kodaeral III, the event also featured contingents from Mabesal, Kodiklatal, the Marine Corps, Pushidrosal, Seskoal, Kolinlamil, AAL, and Puspenerbal.
Kodaeral III athletes joining the Koarmada RI team will compete in key sports disciplines, including soccer, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and tennis. It is hoped that this competition will serve as an effective medium to strengthen brotherhood, solidarity, and esprit de corps among soldiers across Indonesia.
Responding to his personnel's participation, the Commander of Kodaeral III, Rear Admiral Uki Prasetia, extended his full support. He advised all athletes not only to focus on victory, but also to uphold sportsmanship and maintain the good reputation of the unit throughout the games.
