PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) is undergoing a significant phase of business transformation. The company is no longer solely relying on revenue from the telecommunications tower sector, but is instead shifting its focus toward providing connectivity services and Fiber-to-the-Tower (FTTT) as new growth engines.

This shift has proven effective in maintaining the stability of the company's financial performance throughout the first quarter of 2026. Although the tower business experienced a 4.1% year-on-year (yoy) revenue correction due to consolidation in the telecommunications industry, this weakness was offset by a surge in revenue from the non-tower segment. The connectivity sector recorded impressive growth of 44.4%, while the FTTT segment and other businesses also contributed positively to total revenue.

Operationally, TOWR now presents itself as an integrated digital infrastructure company. With fiber optic assets reaching 237,837 km and the continuous expansion of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services, the company has managed to improve efficiency. Notably, the contribution of the non-tower segment surged to 42% of total revenue in the first quarter of 2026, a sharp increase compared to 33% in the same period last year.

On the other hand, TOWR management has also started entering new strategic sectors such as data centers and renewable energy through its subsidiaries, Protelindo and iForte. This move is fully supported by shareholders through an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS / RUPSLB) which approved the diversification of business activities. These new projects are projected to make a significant contribution to the company's consolidated revenue in the long term.

While growth prospects look promising with buy recommendations from analysts, the company still faces several challenges. External factors such as interest rate fluctuations affecting debt burdens and intense price competition in the telecommunications industry remain risks that the company needs to anticipate in the future.
