The Communication Forum of Hajj and Umrah Guidance Groups (FK KBIHU) has expressed full support for the policy of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj), which will mandate the health guidance (manasik kesehatan) program for prospective Hajj pilgrims starting in 2027. This policy is deemed a crucial step in strengthening the aspect of istitha'ah, or the capability of prospective pilgrims to perform worship in the Holy Land.

General Chairperson of FK KBIHU, Manarul Hidayat, emphasized that health is the primary foundation of the Hajj pilgrimage, sharing equal importance with financial capability. According to him, focusing on health development from an early stage will improve the overall quality of Hajj organization, considering that prime physical condition allows pilgrims to perform the series of rituals independently without over-relying on companions.

In addition to the health guidance program, FK KBIHU also appreciates the government's steps in reducing waiting times for departure in various regions. Accelerating departures is considered a strategic solution so that pilgrims can perform the fifth pillar of Islam at a more productive age, thereby minimizing health risks often experienced by elderly pilgrims.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, emphasized that this health guidance policy was born from the evaluation of the 2026 Hajj organization. The government is committed to providing intensive assistance for prospective pilgrims to ensure that the health istitha'ah aspect is met before departure, which will also be the main focus of discussions with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in the future.
