PADANG – PT Hutama Karya (Persero), in collaboration with Perumda Air Minum (AM) Padang City, officially began the rehabilitation and reconstruction of processing facilities at the Gunung Pangilun Water Treatment Plant (IPA) on Monday (21/7/2026). This strategic step is part of efforts to accelerate the recovery of vital clean water infrastructure for the community post-disaster.
The restoration work is focused on repairing two accelerator units, which play a crucial role in the water purification process. The emergency response project aims to fully restore production capacity while improving the quality and reliability of clean water distribution to all customers in Padang City.
To minimize the impact during the reconstruction process, Perumda AM Padang City urges the public to prepare independently. Customers are advised to store reserve water and use their supply more wisely and sparingly until the rehabilitation work is completed.
