Starting trade on Tuesday (13/7/2026), the Bisnis-27 Index showed volatile movement. Having opened stronger at the 416.62 level, the index, a collaboration between the Bisnis Indonesia daily and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), immediately reversed direction and weakened by 0.51 percent shortly after the market opened.
Market dynamics this morning showed a tight contraction, recording 13 stocks slipping into the red zone, 12 stocks strengthening, and two other stocks remaining stagnant. The banking and commodity sectors were the main drags on the index movement this time.
Shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) recorded the deepest correction, falling 1.65 percent to Rp4,180 per share. This negative trend was followed by shares of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS), which fell 1.63 percent to Rp1,505, and PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. (JPFA), which weakened 1.46 percent to Rp2,020. In addition, BBNI and ANTM shares were also under pressure, down 1.13 percent and 1.03 percent respectively.
Amidst the selling pressure, several issuers were still able to record positive performance. Shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. (MEDC) led the gains with a significant surge of 5.06 percent to Rp1,245. This positive step was followed by BRMS, which rose 1.89 percent to Rp540, and INKP, which strengthened 1.02 percent to Rp7,450 per share.
In line with these conditions, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) also suffered a similar fate. Having opened stronger at 6,057.76, the IHSG then slipped 0.19 percent. At the opening of trade, 1.9 billion shares were traded with a value of Rp1.8 trillion, where 266 shares rose, 179 shares fell, and 215 shares stagnated.
