Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, officially closed the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026 event held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, on Sunday (12/7/2026). This closing marked the end of the largest annual exhibition series that has served as the capital's economic driver for nearly the past month.
In his closing speech, Rano Karno emphasized that the Jakarta Fair is not merely a product exhibition event. He viewed this event as a manifestation of synergistic collaboration between the government, the private sector, MSME players, and creative industries that significantly boosted Jakarta's economic wheels. A total of 1,800 booths and 2,800 participants were recorded taking part in enlivening the event.
The success of JFK 2026 was clearly visible from the visitor data, which reached six million people. This fantastic figure contributed to a transaction value exceeding IDR 8 trillion. Rano mentioned that this number reflects optimism for Jakarta's economic growth, which currently stands at 5.59 percent, while contributing 16.67 percent to the national economic scale.
Moving forward, the Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to maintaining a conducive investment climate and providing full support so that local MSMEs can compete in a broader market. This step is being taken to strengthen the city's economic foundation amid global challenges.
In closing, Rano invited all levels of society to welcome a golden momentum: the 500th anniversary celebration of the City of Jakarta next year. He expressed hope that next year's Jakarta Fair will be even more magnificent and mark a new historic milestone in the long journey of the capital.
