The search operation for two teenagers from Krinjing Hamlet, Krinjing Village, Watumalang District, Wonosobo Regency, has entered a new phase. As of Monday (6/7/2026), a joint team consisting of Basarnas, BPBD Wonosobo, volunteers, and local residents has yet to yield results in tracking down Arifin Nurohmat and Yufaidin, who were reported missing in the Mount Bismo area.
Head of BPBD Wonosobo, Sumekto Hendro, revealed that search teams have conducted intensive sweeps along various routes suspected to have been taken by the two teenagers since the operation began on Wednesday (1/7/2026). Despite maximum efforts deployed over six consecutive days, no significant clues leading to their location have been found so far.
According to information from their families, the two teenagers left home on Tuesday (30/6/2026) at around 13:00 WIB. Residents spotted them near the Kali Plolok Bridge before they headed toward the forested area in Sidongkal. At the time, they were wearing black t-shirts, shorts, and carrying a bag filled with food supplies and a machete.
Authorities, along with community members, remain optimistic on the ground despite the challenging terrain of Mount Bismo. This integrated search operation will continue by expanding the search area to ensure the safety of Arifin and Yufaidin, who are still officially listed as missing.
