The Mojokerto Regency Government officially opened the gymnastics competition initiated by the local Federation of Indonesian Women's Sports (Perwosi) at the Graha Maja Tama (GMT) Pavilion on Sunday (26/7/2026). This activity, held to enliven the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, was designed as an important momentum to campaign for a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.
Regent of Mojokerto, DR. H. Muhammad Albarraa, L.C., M.Hum., highly appreciated Perwosi's consistency in mobilizing the community, especially women. According to him, this organization is a strategic partner of the local government in boosting public health levels while promoting women's empowerment in various development sectors.
He emphasized that a healthy and fit body is the main foundation in building a progressive and productive Mojokerto Regency. Therefore, the local government is fully committed to continuing to facilitate programs oriented toward improving the quality of public life through the sports sector.
On the same occasion, the Chairperson of Mojokerto Regency Perwosi, Ning Shofiya Hanak Albarraa, expressed gratitude for the hard work of all board members down to the sub-district level. She emphasized Perwosi's vision to shape healthy, resilient Indonesian women who can become sports pioneers in their respective families.
Head of the Mojokerto Regency Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism Department (Disbudporapar), Ardi Sepdianto, added that this year's competition prepared total prizes of tens of millions of rupiahs. This financial appreciation was deliberately increased to motivate participants to perform to their potential and trigger greater enthusiasm in the future.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Deputy Regent of Mojokerto Muhammad Rizal Octavian, Regional Secretary Teguh Gunarko, board members of women's organizations, and heads of regional apparatus within the Mojokerto Regency Government.
