The automotive world is now entering a new era where software intelligence is just as crucial as engine performance. This phenomenon is realized through the launch of the Huajing S, a premium six-passenger SUV that is the fruit of a strategic collaboration between automotive giant SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) and tech giant Huawei.
As a pioneering model, the Huajing S comprehensively integrates SGMW's latest vehicle platform with Huawei's digital ecosystem. The roles of the two companies are specifically divided: SGMW handles platform development, the drive system, and manufacturing, while Huawei injects its expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a cutting-edge digital cockpit.
Under the hood, this vehicle relies on a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine combined with the Lingxi Power 3.0 system. The Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology it carries allows for maximum efficiency, with the ability to travel using pure electric power in urban areas and the support of a gasoline engine for long-distance journeys that demand high performance.
The top-spec variant of the Huajing S, which uses an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, is capable of churning out up to 517 HP with 620 Nm of torque. This impressive performance allows acceleration from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.2 seconds, with a top speed reaching 190 kilometers per hour.
Battery safety is a priority through the use of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP)-based Divine Refined Battery (Shenlian Battery) technology. With a battery capacity of up to 41.9 kWh, the car is capable of traveling over 250 kilometers on pure electric power, and when combined with a full tank of fuel, its total range is claimed to exceed 1,100 kilometers.
Users are also pampered with DC fast charging features of up to 145 kW. Thanks to the support of 3.5C charging technology, charging the battery from 10 percent to 60 percent can be completed in just 12 to 14.5 minutes, ensuring users' mobility is maintained with optimal efficiency.
