Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa emphasized the government's commitment to maintaining national economic stability. In a conversation, he dismissed public concerns regarding the potential for an economic crisis in Indonesia by presenting concrete evidence from direct monitoring on the ground.

Purbaya explained that he regularly conducts unannounced inspections at various traditional markets and shopping centers to validate existing macroeconomic data. This step was taken to ensure that the recorded economic growth of 5.61 percent is truly felt by the lower classes of society.

To expand the scope of monitoring, the State Treasurer also deployed his staff to comb through crucial points in various regions. Based on the reports received, public consumption activity still shows a positive trend, characterized by heavy traffic flow and crowds in commercial centers, as seen in Yogyakarta and Surabaya.

While not denying that economic challenges still exist, Purbaya ensured that Indonesia's current economic fundamentals remain within a safe corridor. He strongly denied speculation that the country is sliding towards the brink of an economic crisis, emphasizing that the wheels of the national economy are currently still moving stably.
