The Banggai Regency Government is currently making final preparations for the 66th Anniversary celebration, which is centered at the Teluk Lalong Green Open Space (RTH). After being inactive for a decade, this public area is now undergoing a major revitalization to become a modern festival hub that will delight the local community.

The Chairman of the Banggai Anniversary Organizing Committee, Dr. Budianto Uda’a, stated that the technical readiness on the ground has reached 90 percent. Interestingly, the entire grandeur of the stage and supporting facilities for this year's celebration are fully funded through sponsor support. This reflects the high level of trust from the private sector in strategic collaboration with the local government.

The Head of the Banggai Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Sanitation Office (DKISP), Lesmana Kulap, mentioned that his team has designed an event concept that integrates the latest technology. As a tangible form of modernization, the Green Open Space area is now equipped with free Wi-Fi facilities for visitors, spectacular lighting, and the installation of a giant 12x3 meter screen to enliven the series of events.

One of the main highlights of this celebration is the appearance of national musician Ello, facilitated by Honda Sulteng as the main sponsor. In addition to providing entertainment, the committee is also undertaking environmental improvements, including cleaning up the Green Open Space area and releasing 10,000 fish seeds as a step to restore the local pond ecosystem.

The celebration, which will run from July 7 to August 17, 2026, is designed with a schedule spread across various locations. This strategy was chosen to ensure that the economic rotation for local MSMEs is distributed evenly throughout the region, so that the positive impact of the series of events for the 66th Anniversary of Banggai Regency can be widely felt by the entire community.
