The Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy has officially received recognition as an educational institution meeting Level 1 standards. The certificate of recognition was presented directly by the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Minh Huan, during a formal ceremony attended by senior city officials.
This achievement is the result of an organizational restructuring process following the merger with the Binh Duong Provincial Political School and the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Political School. In the official assessment, the academy successfully met 57 established targets, with 19 of them exceeding the standards required by the Assessment Council of the National Academy of Politics.
Associate Professor Dr. Doan Minh Huan emphasized that the institution must evolve into a strategic hub focused not only on knowledge transfer, but also serving as an incubator for problem-solving and forecasting future trends for the city. Innovation, particularly in digital transformation and self-directed learning, is a key pillar for the academy to lead political education standards nationally.
Echoing these sentiments, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong instructed the academy to promptly outline a roadmap to reach Level 2 targets before 2030. The training curriculum is expected to be more adaptive to the city's development realities, equipping cadres with practical skills for solution-oriented policy-making.
Looking ahead, the Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy is also preparing for further integration through a merger with the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies and the Ly Tu Trong Youth Union School. This move is expected to strengthen the academy's role as a major contributor to strategic policy formulation and the enhancement of civil service quality in the new era.
